Let's be honest about it few of us really, I mean really, expected Scotland to beat France yesterday. World Cup finalists, top drawer players, only one defeat in qualifying games since 1999 or whenever it was - but the Tartan Army was sent homeward to drink again (and again) last night after a brilliant one nil victory thanks to Gary Caldwell's goal.
And I was one of the 57,000 who were there to soak up the atmosphere. No doubt by tomorrow morning the crowd will have soared to over 200,000 with all the punters who claimed to have been there but who really cares, all that matters is that we got the three points and can look forward to Wednesday night and the trip to the Ukraine. And as an added bonus you know who didn't beat Macedonia!!!
